I love this book! It had lots of cool facts about Star Wars animals, including Sarlaacs, Blarths,Tauntauns, and Giant Space Slugs. Also, the illustrations were amazing! I think this is one of the best books that I have ever read!

Max-Ernest, Yo-Yoji, and Cassandra, three 12-year-old kids, are part of the Terces society. That means they are dedicated to protecting the secret of immortality from the evil Midnight Sun. Last time, they defeated the Midnight Sun and destroyed their headquarters, the Midnight Sun spa. But where is the Midnight Sun now? One day someone drops a box full of magazines on the doorstep of Cass's grandfathers' shop. At the bottom of the box is a magazine with the Skelton Sisters, teenage celebrities, and members of the Midnight Sun on it. But that's not all. In one picture, they're standing next to a "nun" who is actually Ms.Mauvais, the leader of the Midnight Sun! The magazine even says they're in a chocolate plantation on the Ivory Coast! But what would the Midnight Sun want with chocolate? Then, Señor Hugo, an evil chef, kidnaps Cass's mom! He demands the Tuning Fork, a legendary artifact with the power to make food taste like anything! But when Cass gives him the fork, he doesn't release Cass's mom! Not only that, Señor Hugo reveals that he is a member of the Midnight Sun! Now, the Midnight Sun has Cass's Mom and the Tuning Fork! Max-Ernest, Yo-Yoji, and Cass will have to find the Midnight Sun before it's too late! But what are they planning? I liked this book because it was funny and exciting. But I didn't like the illustrations were sort of weird.

Evelyn loves robotics. She takes a robotics class that has a robotics team and is even the team lead! But since her best friend Naiely moved away, the team has been falling apart. The other kids have been doing other things when they should be working, and Evelyn doesn't know how to keep them together. The robotics teacher, Mrs.Weir, has said that if she doesn't let the others help out more, she will take away her role as the team lead! Allie is another eighth grader who has trouble controlling her anger. She's already been kicked out of three classes, and if she gets kicked out of robotics, Allie will be sent to Sunrise Junior High, where all the troublemakers go. Allie doesn't think she'll like robotics, but eventually, she does. But will she lose her temper again? Then, the two classmates learn that Principal Gilbert might cancel the robotics class if the team doesn't do well at the upcoming tournament. Everything depends on the robotics team winning the tournament. But will they learn to work together in time? I liked this book because it was exciting and was told from two different points of view. I didn't like how the author used the phrase "made a face" so often.

zarkinpants's book review was featured in The Name of this Book Is Secret (The Secret Series).
Cass and Max-Ernest don't have any friends. Cass is a survivalist, meaning that she wants to be prepared for every possible disaster. Max-Ernest's parents are divorced, and he has a condition that makes him talk nonstop. One day at Cass's substitute grandfathers' house, a real estate agent named Gloria drops off a bunch of stuff. The things are from the house of a magician who is thought to have died in a fire. One item is extremely unusual. It's a big wooden box called "The Symphony of Smells" with a bunch of tubes with different scents inside. At school, Cass meets Max-Ernest, and they discover a piece of paper with a code hidden in the box. When decoded, it reads "Help". Max-Ernest and Cass go to the magician's old house to search for clues and meet two people, Ms.Mauvais and Dr.L, who are trying to find the magician's secret. When Ms. Mauvais and Dr.L kidnap their classmate Benjamin Blake, Cass and Max-Ernest will have to rescue him and prevent them from learning the secret. I liked this book because it was very funny.
