Cass and Max-Ernest have stopped the Midnight Sun from learning the secret of immortality and also saved their classmate Benjamin Blake. Plus, they've been invited to join the Terces Society, a group dedicated to stopping the Midnight Sun. But before they get the chance to join, they get captured by Ms.Mauvais and Dr. L, the leaders of the Midnight Sun. Eventually, they escape and discover a round white ball in a trunk. It allows them to listen to people talking, even if they're a mile away! Finally, Max-Ernest and Cassandra go to the Museum of Magic, where they join the Terces Society. There, they meet the magician Pietro, and he informs them that the ball is the Sound Prism, and the Midnight sun stole it from the museum. Soon, they learn that the Midnight sun is looking for the evil alchemist Lord Pharoah's grave, where they hope they will find the Secret. They also learn that the Sound Prism and a homunculus, a human made in a bottle, are the keys to finding the grave. Will Cass and Max-Ernest be able to find Lord Pharoh's tomb before the Midnight Sun? I liked this book because of the author's style and also because it was very interesting.

Double Fudge, by Judy Blume, is about tolerance. When Fudge Hatcher was five, he asked his older brother Peter Hatcher how much New York cost. After Peter answered the question, Fudge was obsessed with money. He even planned to buy the entire world, or at least Toys “R” Us. The family had to tolerate that. It was already enough trouble, but then Fudge’s pet Myna bird stopped talking. He tolerated it, but refused to tell the other family members about this, until Peter caught Fudge imitating it. Soon, their long-lost relatives, the Howie Hatchers, came to their building. It was really annoying, and then their other little brother, Mini, swallowed one of Fudges’ lost teeth! I recommend this book for boys and girls, grades third to sixth.

Her parents are dead, and she can't go on living in her house in London, so she, her guardian Miss Heliotrope, and her dog Wiggins go to live at Maria's cousin Sir Benjamin's manor, Moonacre Manor. Moonacre Manor is located in a valley with a church, a village called Silverydew, woods, and a bay nearby. At the manor, Maria meets many people, including a boy named Robin, an old parson, and a woman named Loveday. There, she finds out that the men from the woods are causing trouble in Silverydew and won't allow the village children to play at the bay and won't sell the fish they catch to the villagers. Maria must do something, but what? Can she succeed where hundreds of past Merryweathers have failed? I liked this book because it has a lot of adventure and was funny, but sometimes it was a little boring.

Magnus will have to find the hammer before they do. Magnus and his friends soon discover that a giant named Thrym has Mjolner. What's more, Thrym is planning on marrying Magnus's friend Samira! If she marries him, Thrym will give the hammer back. At least that's what he says. Loki, the god of trickery and also Samira's father, urges them to collect the bride price, the Skofnung Sword, and the Skofnung Stone. But Magnus suspects that Loki has a plan that he's not telling them. What is it? Will Magnus and his friend ever get Mjolner back? I liked this book because it's really funny.

With these weapons, the goblins are becoming extremely dangerous. And worse, the fairies suspect that someone on the inside is helping the B'ua Kell. Who could it be? Will Artemis and the fairies be able to stop the goblins? And can they rescue Artemis's father? I liked this book because it was full of adventure. I recommend this book to people who like fantasy and science fiction.
