This book was honestly great, I would recommend it to anyone who can deal with a bit of a gritty setting but a happy-ever-after ending.Over 7 years agodanhoo1617 has read this book.

Do you believe in vampires? In the book Cirque du Freak by Darren Shan will make you beg for more. Basically it is about vampires exciting right. Four friends Darren, Steve, Allen and Tommy finds a flyer called cirque du freak but the catch was 2 tickets per flyer so they were arguing who would get to go until they decided to draw straws to see who would go. And when Darren won him and Steve went of the freak show. After the show Steve told him to leave but he wouldn't so when Darren found out what Steve was going to do he couldn't believe Steve wanted to become a vampire knowing that he ran away and stole madam Octa the performing spider. when madam Octa broke free of the spider bite Steve. So he has to become a vampire to get the cure from Mr. Crepsley. the antagonist is mr Crepsley but he takes him under his wing and teaches Darren to be a vampire . Have you ever wondered what it would be like through the eyes of a depressed person with some mental issues? Well then I would recommend Impulse, by Ellen Hopkins. The book’s main protagonists are Conner, Vanessa, and Tony, all very troubled people who reside at a rehab center. Vanessa, a girl whose father is overseas and mother will do anything to take away the hurt, resorts to self harm to take away the pain. Tony, a boy who’s life was mostly lived on the streets. His father abandoned him, and his mother had many horrible boyfriends. He believed his only choice was to swallow pills. Finally, Conner. From the outside he lived the perfect life but on the inside he struggled to live with his parents high standards. He believed his only choice was to pull the trigger. The main antagonist in the story is the characters themselves. They all do many things to harm and injure themselves on purpose. One major conflict in the book is they all attempt to stop the harmful things they do but some give in to their addiction. Another conflict for them is trying to accept that people do care for them and they try to learn to love again. The main turning point in the book is when Vanessa,Tony, and Conner all find love and try to stop doing the things that hurt them the most. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a gritty but gripping novel that really touches on your emotions.Almost 8 years agodanhoo1617 added a book review.

Would you want to live forever? This girl named Winnie she found a hidden spring that could grant you immortality. She is the main character in the book the Tuck Everlasting. The author of this book is Natalie babbitt. I think the antagonist is the family because they must of did stuff to make Winnie want to run away and the protagonist is Winnie. This book takes place probably in the 1800 because it doesn't really say what time this book is at a tree gap. One of the conflicts is the tucks kidnap Winnie. Another conflict is she has to choose if she wants to be with the tucks and won't die or follow the cycle of life. I think the turning point of this story is when the tucks ask her to stay with them and join them on their journey with their never ending life. Would you want to be immortal or die someday. If so read this book to see if she lives forever or does she die. If you like fantasy books you should check this book out.About 8 years agoryahar1617 has read this book.
