It was a good story, but I feel like it could have been longer. It was not clear if the dog was a sand dog or a real dog, or a part of his imagination.

This book is about Matthew who goes to the beach. I enjoyed this book because he builds a real house and not a sand house. If you like building in the sand, you will like The Sand Castle-Skyler
