The adventure continues in this fifth book in the New York Times bestselling series.

The sun is shining in the Hundred Isles, and yet the path forward seems crowded with shadows. Conor, Abeke, Meilin, and Rollan have traveled across the world, seeking a set of powerful talismans in order to keep them from enemy hands. Throughout their journey the young heroes have been hounded by pursuers, who always seem to know just where to find them. Now they know why.

One of them is a traitor.

As they steer the crystal blue waters of this tropical paradise, the team can't help but suspect each other. There's a spy in their midst, and before this mission is over, a deadly trap will close around them.

Amazing book! Tense, emotional, and filled with adventure...beautifully written! This is one of the most exciting books I’ve ever read, because it made me feel like I was actually in the story. Whenever a character was sad, I felt unhappy. When they were joyful, I was happy too. If you’re looking for a good book with a sweet, thrilling twist, this is for you! Spirit Animals is a very enjoyable read and will definitely satisfy your cravings.

I was so excited when I read this book but it turned out different then I excepted. For one it is very sad but book 6 Rise and Fall is even more sad then this one because people die and in this one Meilin actually finds out what her father meant when he said ''Should have told you... betrayed...the Bile''so she finds out what he meant and also they find Mulop and get the Coral Octopus.

Books five-seven are the most exciting in the whole series. This is when the team is on their way to find Mulop the octopus and get his talisman the Coral octopus so that they can win the war. But it turns out there is a mole in their group.

This book was more amazing than I had ever expected; it was way better than all the other books in the series, but my opinion might change soon when I get to read the book Rise and Fall, the 6th book of the Spirit Animals series. I have to say, the ending of this book was so unexpected and sad, and it makes me want to read the next book Rise and Fall sooo much more!
