This special edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone has a gorgeous new cover illustration by Kazu Kibuishi. Inside is the full text of the original novel, with decorations by Mary GrandPré.

Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.

All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley — a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry’s room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn’t had a birthday party in eleven years.

But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry — and anyone who reads about him — will find unforgettable.

For it’s there that he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic in everything from classes to meals, but a great destiny that’s been waiting for him… if Harry can survive the encounter.

I love harry potter Potter stories thets lots of exciting thing's to Reed about

Harry Potter thought he was an ordinary boy. His life changed when he got a letter from Hogwarts. His uncle and aunt would not let him read the letter, however they couldn't keep what he didn't know from him any longer. Hagrid eventually showed up to tell Harry the news himself. He was a wizard. At first, Harry thought this was some mistake, he couldn't have been a wizard. As the story goes on, Harry learns more about the other side of this life that had been kept from him the whole time. This book was really good, and I enjoyed reading it. This made me interested in reading the books after this in the Harry Potter series. I recommend this book to people who enjoy the Percy Jackson series, or the Hunger Games series. I rate this 5/5.

Amazing book, first in the series of the famous Harry Potter books, magical, exciting, everything you want from a book

Joanne Rowling's first novel ever throws the world into a frenzy to buy her gorgeous story. In "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," a young boy named Harry Potter finds out that he is a wizard. What it means, what he is, he doesn't know. All he's ever experienced is the cupboard under the stairs and the Dursley's despicableness. So when Hagrid, half-giant keykeeper of the magical school Hogwarts, shows up at the front door and announces Harry's powers, he is astounded. Perhaps he shouldn't know who he is...because when he does, he realizes his life is worth much more than he'd ever dreamed of. J.K. Rowling's stunning writing will leave readers vying for more. An absolutely beautiful work of art is found in this bestselling book.

Iheartbooks! Iheartbooks!

I love this book! This is one of the best books I have ever read! I recommend it and you should read the rest of this series too!

This is the best book ever!! It is the perfect book to get you interested in the whole Harry Potter series and I highly recommend it. SPOILER ALERT!! So there was a boy named Harry and his parents were killed by Voldemort who gave him a lightning scar on his forehead. He then lived with his only living relatives, his mean aunt and uncle. Then Hagrid comes along and tells him that he is a wizard. Harry then enters the wonderous wizarding word and gets sucked right in it, just like you will! With his friends Ron and Hermione at Hogwarts, they discover and solve many mysteries and dangers. It is the BEST!!!!!!

I love the book sooooo much!! It's sooo good!! I am now on the goblet of fire but my favourite is probably the second one so far. I love harry potter!! 10/10!!
