Charlie Joe Jackson may be the most reluctant reader ever born. And so far, he's managed to get through life without ever reading an entire book from cover to cover. But now that he's in middle school, avoiding reading isn't as easy as it used to be. And when his friend Timmy McGibney decides that he's tired of covering for him, Charlie Joe finds himself resorting to desperate measures to keep his perfect record intact.

Charlie Joe Jackson's Guide to Not Reading by Tommy Greenwald is the hilarious story of an avid non-reader and the extreme lengths to which he'll go to get out of reading a book.

If you're a bookworm, a word that totally describes me, you would probably wonder why you should read a book that tells you not to read. This book is actually very cool and to me, it taught a very important lesson; reading will always be in your life, even if you hate it. This book is about a very cool guy with humorous description!. I recommend this book to people that are bookworms like me.

I like this book even though I am the total opposite of Charlie Joe Jackson. I would like to thank Indian Trails Library for getting me into these series.

If you looked at the cover and you are a bookworm (which I am) you would say, 'Why would I want to read a book that tells me NOT to read? I mean wouldn't I be reading a book that tells me not to read?" Well actually it is waaaay more than that! It is a wonderful book and is a story of a boy who hates reading.

Charlie Joe Jackson's Guide to Not Reading was an okay book. It just wasn't my kind of book. This was not a very interesting book. Overall, this was not a good book.

This book is actually very good! You would think by the way the cover looks that it will be like a Diary of a Wimpy Kid kind of book but when you actually read it, you find it's actually really cool. It's about a guy who hates reading!

This seems to be a amazing book !

This book was cool and funny and awesome because it was a book about not reading books. That is very ironic. I would recommend this book to people who don't like to read books.

This book is about a boy named Charlie who has been known for not reading. Charlie has to come up with a plan for how to read his school books when his friend Timmy stops telling him what is in the books. Charlie also has to come up with a plan to read for the Position Papers, a assignment at the end of the year that needs a lot of reading. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone!

my mom made me read this because shes always yelling at me to read. but i liked it alot it made alot so funny makes reading a whole book fun

This is a great book for reluctant and non-reluctant readers alike. Charlie Joe's story is so funny and realistic. If you're crazy and don't like to read then that just might change after reading this book.
