Once upon a time, fairy tales were grim.

Cinderella’s stepsisters got their eyes pecked out by birds.

Rumpelstiltskin ripped himself in half.

And in a tale called “The Mouse, the Bird, and the Sausage,” a mouse, a bird, and a sausage all talk to each other. Yes, the sausage talks. (Okay, I guess that one’s not that grim…)

Those are the real fairy tales.

But they have nothing on the story I’m about to tell.

This is the darkest fairy tale of all. Also, it is the weirdest. And the bloodiest.

It is the grimmest tale I have ever heard.

And I am sharing it with you.

Two children venture through forests, flee kingdoms, face ogres and demons and monsters, and, ultimately, find their way home. Oh yes, and they may die. Just once or twice.

That’s right. Fairy tales

I reccomend this book to people who like adventure, action, scary and gruesome. My favorite characters are Joringel, Jorinda, and Eddy. My favorte part is at the end when there is a fight between kids and adults.

I love this series so much! I was so upset when I finish this series! I wish there was a dozen more books for this series!

This is the third and I think last book for a companion of A Tale Dark and Grimm possible it might be the last one.

I really liked this book but I wouldn't want anyone to read it out loud there is the h word so if you can't read the h word I wouldn't read it

I didn't read this book yet, but I still rate it five stars because like the other Grimm books, I'm pretty sure it's going to be amazing :)

I love this book I agree with oagk that the best part was when Joringle made the devil cry! I wish there was more!

This was a beautiful book: a fantastic end to the 'series'. It featured impeccable humor and wit, as well as horrifying bloody scenes. There are some parts that seem slightly forced, but they are for the most part overshadowed by the good points of the book. I would recommend this to fans of the series ages ten and up.

The book was so funny. Joringel makes the devil cry, and he plays with dead people.

Seriously? Now I just need to read that book!!!

So hilarious!Joringle made the Devil cry!

It really made me laugh. The best part was when Joringle (german is weird) made the Devil cry.
