This book is really funny. I like Fido because she acts like a dog, but she's a guinea pig. I like how Rufus gets out of school by saying he needs to go to the bathroom. I highly recommend this book.
I have two adorable guinea pigs at my house. You have no idea how much I want a guinea pig like this!

I enjoyed this title. It will make a good read read aloud. I was excited to see that this is the same author that wrote We Can't All Be Rattlesnakes which was a hilarious title! Guinea Dog is about the theme of a child wanting a dog as a pet and the parent saying NO. I personally have been there and understand the intense desire to get a dog to love and play with. Guinea dog is a hilarious story about a boy who wants a dog more than anything in the world. One day, his mom brings home a guinea pig. From hiding him from his friends, to taking him to school, they have lots of adventures together. I would totally recommend this awesome book.
I really loved this book, it was funny but had meaning. I suggest this book to people of ages 8-14. I was a good book to read on bring days to lift my spirits. Happy reading.
I just love this book! It is about Rufus and his wish to have a dog but his dad does not agree. Later, his mom brings in a guinea pig which Rufus does not want! But later on, the guinea pig starts to behave like a dog!
