Charley knows a lot about pain. She endures it when she walks on her newly shattered leg, she sees it when her father buries himself in an eighty-hour work week, and she runs from it when she sees photographs her mother took before her death. Then one day, Charley meets a wild, abused dog that knows as much about pain as she does, and, despite herself, she feels an immediate connection and vows to help him. But how will one heartbroken girl help mend the battered spirit of an untamable dog?

It is about when Charles wants the dog so then he can train the dog so then she can keep the dog so then he won't have to take it back to the woods and let a wolf eat it so then it will die and none will find that dog and take it to the animal shop so then some one can by it so then it won't die some where in the woods.

My favorite part of the book is where the girl trains the dog and gets him to come stay inside with her and sleep on her mom's studio while she slept on a roll out bed. I recommend this book to someone that likes kinda sad but happy.

i most certainly recommend this book. you will actually feel the emotions of this girl and her dog . all i can say is that this book rocks.

The greatest biography i have ever read. Its about a girl who was in a terrible accident that has scarred her and her leg for life. When she goes to a lake for summer vacation, she meets a golden dog she calls, coyote. He helps her regain her strength to get over the incident while she helps him to become 'tamed' dog. As these two give each other courage to move towards something great, they bond a never-ending friendship.
