Quirky and Creative. This book is not to be missed. With it's contrasting characters, this story is one of a story gone wrong. Yes - a story about a story. Sort of. Violet is a princess. Not a perfect looking princess at all. With her mis-matched eyes, chipped tooth and unruly hair, she is the hero (or downfall!) of her kingdom. Alongside an old scarred, one eyed dragon, she fights to save her people from an evil (not to mention vain) god called the Nybbas. Join Violet in her adventure to save the mirrored world!

Fantastic. With it's patches of humour, and intense action, this book is one for all. As Caspan, a lowly thief from the streets of Floran, decides to pickpocket an old man, he finds himself cornered by 3 of the man's guards. Invited to join their association, the brotherhood of thieves set up by the king, Caspan has to complete the test to become a member. Only 5 out of 50 may be selected. Hence being chosen, will he and the other 4 put aside their differences and work as a team?

Awesome!! This book, alongside it's two final others, is brilliant. Danika is used to struggling for survival. But when the tyrannous king launches an attack to punish her city – echoing the alchemy bombs that killed Danika's family – she risks her life in a daring escape over the city's walls. Danika joins a crew of desperate refugees who seek the Magnetic Valley, a legendary safe haven. But when she accidentally destroys a palace biplane, Danika Glynn becomes the most wanted fugitive in Taladia. Pursued by the king's vicious hunters and betrayed by false allies, Danika also grapples with her burgeoning magical abilities. And when she meets the mysterious Lukas, she must balance her feelings against her crew's safety.

With it's fantasy/mystery genre, this book is to be highly treasured. Although for the sentences are rather long, taking up to a paragraph, this is a great book. Maria, upon moving from the city, goes to live at her cousin's estate, the merry weather's estate. Herself being a Merryweather, she is told that she will be the saviour of the lands form the men of the dark woods. Her friend robin by her side, she sets off to find a mysterious string of pearls that will bring peace to all.
