This is a book about a girl named Freddy, whose keeps getting together and breaking up with with Laura Dean, who she loves, and she has to figure out how to get out of her toxic relationship. This book was good with great art, but there wasn't so much special about it (other than the cool ending). It's a nice quick read, but best for a teen rather than someone younger than that.

Great book about the drug war in the Philippines! This book is about Jay, a 17 year old boy who's about to go to college, but there's some unexpected that happens to him near his spring break-his cousin who lives in the Philippines, Jun (who's also his pen pal), has been murdered because of the president's drug war. Determined to find more about what happened, he travels to the Philippines for a week. There was 1 minor issue with this book. I think that Jay was acting pretty privileged and like he knew everything that was happening around him throughout the beginning and the middle, however he was a good character when the book was coming to an end. 4.5 stars rounded up!

This book was really enjoyable. There was always some action, so I didn't quit on this book. Also, the movie wasn't that upsetting, because it was good, but it was slightly different because the characters face different challenges in each one. I would say this book is fine for 11+, because there's some language.

This is a beautiful book about a boy called "King" who, throughout the book, explores his identity. I love that this book takes on a pretty mature topic, yet it is still a kids book. I would recommend this book to anyone ages 9 or above!
