i hope people come to their senses and vaccinate their children!

The vaccine is very safe and effective, I don't know why people are heavily risking the fact that their young child could get terminally ill from this outbreak. For some rare diseases, certain vaccines may not be needed at all, but in a situation like this you should WANT a vaccine to prevent a highly-contagious disease from spreading. People vaccinate their dogs but they don't vaccinate their own kids..
