The main character in this book is Melody Brooks. She has been living in a wheel chair her whole life, and not being able to do anything but shriek, and move her thumbs. She has an amazing memory and is extremely smart, but because of her outer appearance nobody knows that about her. She is forced to stay quiet, like the time her goldfish Ollie jumped out his fishbowl. She has been very frustrated with her life. Her special education class was added to the normal class. She got bullied by people like Molly and Claire calling her a liar and idiot, and even teachers like Mr.dimming thinks she can't learn like the other kids. Her life changed when she had her friend Rose , and had a machine to help her talk for the first time in her life, this was really important to her because she finally had a voice of her own.

This book is based on Youtuber Joey graceffa that shares a lot of his insecurities. This book helps people that is going through a rough childhood. He had lead poisoning when he was small and caused him to have SPED (special education). This meant people though he was stupid and got bullied often. Since boys in school doesn't want to sit with him at lunch he would sit with girl and the girls were sometimes trying to be nice. So he played with girls toys he hanged out with girls, people thought he was gay even his family. He had a sister Nicole and she was a really popular girl in school but she felt embarrassed because when Joey came to school, people thought Nicole was the sister of a stupid kid. His mom also went trough a lot as she grew up and was separated by her sibling and family because they were foster kids. So when Joey was about 6th grade she started to drink one or two cups of white wine in her local hair salon where she worked, but then it got worst and worst that she came home drunk often. These are just some things Joey went trough as a kid. I think this book would be perfect for anyone, because this book makes me feel like I should still be nice to people even with SPED. This gave me a look of how hit felt to have SPED.

The last song is a story about a girl named Ronnie miller that is angry and frustrated with parents especially her dad. She stayed that way for 3 years until she decides to visit him over summer break at north carolina. Ronnie met a boy at the beach he was a volleyball player, he accidently bumped into her and quickly became really good friends. Ronnie finds herself falling for the boy and they started dating. Ronnie is also a very good singer and pianist, but her dad is the one who taught her the piano so after her parents divorced she stopped playing music because it reminded her of her dad. Ronnie is very disappointed in her dad because he did something at the church and people got really mad about it. The ending was very sad because her dad ended up dieing to Ronnie playing the piano and singing to him as he looks at the sky. I think Ronnie understands that her dad was sick but still wanted Ronnie to come to his house at North carolina. This story was really sad and i think i would be a good book for people that likes emotional stories.
