In Earthsea, a group of hundreds of islands, wizards are common. Almost every island has at least one, and they can cure illnesses, summon animals, and change the weather. Ged was a wizard, and eventually he became the greatest sorcerer in all of Earthsea. But when he was still a prentice learning the art of wizardry, he said an ancient spell and summoned a spirit from the dead, accidentally releasing an evil shadow in the process. To correct his mistake and capture the shadow, he had to journey across Earthsea, meeting many dangers. Will Ged find the shadow? I liked this book because it was exciting, and the author's writing style was great!
