From beloved and bestselling author Lauren Myracle comes the first book in an enchanting trilogy about three sisters, the magic of traditions, and the extraordinary power of hope. This heartwarming, timeless story is perfect for fans of Rebecca Stead and Ingrid Law.

On the third night of the third month after a girl’s thirteenth birthday, every girl in the town of Willow Hill makes three wishes.

The first wish is an impossible wish.

The second is a wish she can make come true herself.

And the third is the deepest wish of her secret heart.

Natasha is the oldest child in a family steeped in magic, though she’s not sure she believes in it. She’s full to bursting with wishes, however. She misses her mother, who disappeared nearly eight long years ago. She has a crush on one of the cutest boys in her class, and she thinks maybe it would be nice if her very first kiss came from him. And amid the chaos of a house full of sisters, aunts, and a father lost in grief, she aches to simply be . . . noticed.

So Natasha goes to the willow tree at the top of the hill on her Wishing Day, and she makes three wishes. What unfolds is beyond anything she could have imagined.

I have read this book before, and now I am reading the series again. I really liked them last time and I still do! I love the idea of a Wishing day, on the third night of the third month after my thirteenth birthday, and I am not quite that old so I will be able to celebrate! I like the fact that in this one, like in most good books :) , *spoiler alert* there is this one boy that the main girl, Natasha, likes and thinks that he likes her back, but it actually turns out that his best friend is the real deal. That is so sweet!!

This looks like a really good book and I now really want to read it 😂

This was a very good book. It was a real page-turner. It is full of mystery and excitement. I loved how Natasha had such a love for her parents , respect for her dad , and desire to find her mom.

This was a very interesting book by Lauren Myracle. I wasn't sure if it was going to be my style of book or not, and it wasn't, but I still liked it a lot! It is a half mystery and half fantasy book, and I really liked it. Natasha Blok lives in an interesting and different town which is blanketed in magic, but not everyone believes in it. The tradition goes like this, on the third night of the third month after a girls thirteenth birthday, they get to make three wishes, the first wish is an impossible wish, the second is a wish she can make come true herself, and the last and final wish is the deepest wish of her secret heart. Natasha wants to believe in this magical tradition that her great, great.... (I am not exactly sure how many greats).....grandmother started, but is not sure if she should. Now, she ends up making her three wishes and mysterious things start happening, including notes that she isn't sure who they are coming from, an eccentric old lady, and crushes (though not exactly who she was expecting). The book gets only partly wrapped up in the end and you have to read the next book to find out what happens. I loved this book because it was very easy to relate to and I think that this book is a great read for middle school girls.

Terrific review!

I am glad you liked it, thank you!

Natasha is the oldest child in a family that is steeped in magic. But, she isn't sure if she believes in it, though . Natasha misses her mother, who disappeared for nearly eight years ago. She has a secret crush on one of the cutest boys that was in her class and she thinks that it might nice if she had her very first kiss with him, but, it could also be terrifying. In the midst of all the chaos in her house full of sisters, aunts, and her father that was full of grief of her mother, she wishes she could be noticed. So when Natasha goes to the willow tree on top of Willow Hill, and makes her three wishes. The first wish is an impossible wish, the second is a wish she could make it come true herself, and the last wish is the deepest wish of her secret heart. After she made her wishes, her life became beyond anything she could imagine.....

I recently finished this book and I loved it. Lauren Myracle is definitely someone I would love to say produce more books! Natasha Blok, the main character, gives the reader all of the excitement, laughter, and anxiety a reader needs. It keeps us turning the pages and even gives us a little romance! It is the beginning to one mystery and one great series and I can't wait to read the next few books! I definitly recommend it even if some may not see it as their style. It includes magic and much more instore!

I read this book and it was okay, but I don't think it was the BEST book ever. I do have to hand it to her though, Lauren Myracle has a good talent at choosing names. I think this is a good book because Natasha has a lot of teen issue in her life, and when you think of magic you think of something that comes instantly. On Willow Hill the magic is hidden but it is still there.
