The True Blue Scouts of Sugar Man Swamp by Kathi Appelt is about two raccoons who work in a swamp, doing jobs and following the stars and the fantastical Sugarman for direction. It is a charming story about frindship, perserverance, believeing in each other and fighting with courage for whats right. I would reccomend this books lto lovers of animals and bravery.

This book is about these two raccoons in the Sugar Man Swamp. The Sugar Man Swamp is home to the best sugar cane basically in the world. Sonny Boy Beaucoup owns it and wants to develop it to become a Event Center and a band of BAD hogs wants the Sugar Cane. Oh and Chaparral Brayburn wants his mother's business to succeed. Who will win??? Read it to find out.
