A futuristic eco-thriller about Ellie, a kidnapped child warrior determined to free herself--and free the planet. Listen: Can you hear THE ROAR? Answer the call of the wild!

Mika and Ellie live in a future behind a wall: Solid concrete topped with high-voltage razor wire and guarded by a battalion of Ghengis Borgs, it was built to keep out the animals, because animals carry the plague. At least that's what Ellie, who was kidnapped as a child, has always been taught. But when she comes to suspect the truth behind her captivity, she's ready to risk exposure to the elements and answer the call of the wild. Listen. Can you hear it? She's strapping on her headset, jumpstarting her Pod Fighter, and--with her capuchin monkey at her back--she's breaking out!

I read this because I had nothing else to read and it turns out it was a very good book. I was surprised when I found out it wasn't a terrible book, I mean it's called "The Roar" not exactly eye catching to me. But there are many twists and turns in this book making it a good book to read.

I read this book and also the second one, and they were both amazing!

SSSS SSSS

This book is interesting because it has twist after twist after twist. It has the making of a great series if the author decided to write more books. It kind of lets you into a world where the government isn't telling people the truth about the world.

I love this book because it just makes you want to keep on turning the pages. Once I read this book at a fine dining restaurant and I hid it underneath my shirt so I could take it there. This book has a lot of suspense and you can really relate to the story. What makes it great is that you feel like you are actually there and you feel what the boy in the story felt.As Eoin Colfer said, "It flies along like a laser beam from a blaster and sustains the breakneck speed until the amazing climax"

If you like suspense ,this will interest you a lot. Yes ,there are is a very scary setting and some very scary characters. Suspense takes control here.
