Every so often a love story so captures our hearts that it becomes more than a story it becomes an experience to remember forever. "The Notebook" is such a book. It is a celebration of how passion can be ageless and timeless, a tale that moves us to laughter and tears and makes us believe in true love all over again.

At thirty-one, Noah Calhoun, back in coastal North Carolina after World War II, is haunted by images of the girl he lost more than a decade earlier. At twenty-nine, socialite Allie Nelson is about to marry a wealthy lawyer, but she cannot stop thinking about the boy who long ago stole her heart. Thus begins the story of a love so enduring and deep it can turn tragedy into triumph and may even have the power to create a miracle."

Is there a definite definition for the word “love”? I don’t think so. Nicholas Sparks, who had been writing romances, brought a typical love story into a deeper journey. Allie came from a wealthy family yet Noah was just a poor guy that lived with his dad. They had an unforgettable love affair during a lovely summer when they were young and wild even though they came from two distinct worlds. Allie had to leave New Bern after summer ends and her parents disagreed their relationship. Years later, they met again. Although Allie was engaged and they seemed to become strangers, the summer they spent with their dynamic and passionate love had never fade away in each other’s mind. Allie determined to chose who she really love with her heart. As they grew older, Allie was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Noah didn’t gave up on her and kept reading their story of love even though she could probably kept none of the memories. Even she did, miracles never lasted for a long time. Here’s where I personally think true love was actually shown. When she wasn’t young and beautiful anymore, he still loved her with his soul and his life. I believe true love doesn’t necessarily have to be hot and memorable, but it should be timeless and unconditional.

For this book, it’s showing how strong is love that it has already been after a long long time. Allie, who came from a rich family, went to South California for summer and she fell in love with Noah, a mill worker, Allie’s parent don’t approve, so they quickly took Allie back home and away from the town Noah. Noah has been writing letters every single day for a year, but Allie never get those letters. Then when Noah returns to their small town years later, on the cusp of Allie's marriage, it soon becomes clear that their romance is anything but over. But then, they are both still in love with each other, so they got married. At last, they both got old, Allie lost her memories as she goes older and older she can’t even remember Noah and their kids, so Noah write down their love story and read it to Allie everyday, but she only remembers is at the end of the day, and the next day, she forget everything. Before they both died, Noah went to Allie’s room, Allie remembered him and they cry together, then they died together, This shows that no matter what happened, love is alwasy the medicine.

This is a very touching book. It is mainly talking about the love story of Noah and Allie. Allie was born in a very wealthy family. She had a bright, well planed future waiting for her. Going to a good college, marry a rich man, and getting a good life that their parents want, and she was following the plan like this is the life she wants, until one day, she met Noah in an amusement part. At the first glance, Noah fell in love with her. Soon they all fell in love. When everything is perfect, their parents found out about their relationship and disagree about it. Soon they broke apart. After a year that Allie left the town, Allie found a new rich guy while Noah was serving the army. When they finally met again, they fell in love once again, and this time, they decided that no one can stop them. This book led me into tears at last, because I never knew that love can be that strong, and also because that shows me they were both in each others mind even though so many years had past. But this book is also sad, although after all, they married, but Allie got amnesia. Everything Noah had done will vanish in every second. But in conclusion, this is one of the best book and movie ever.

If I were you I would read this wonderful book.this books main people are Noeh and sorry I didn't remember the girls name. this book made me cry at the end. At the end they both die together.I felt sorry because she had enimia.I cried a lot because he wrote 365 letters for a year and the girls mom didn't gave her the letters and when they had met again she was mad because he didn't write to her.He had told her that he wrote her a letter for a year.He said she didn't wrote to him.At the end her her mom gave the letters to her and she read them and decided to go back to live with him.I hope you enjoy the book or movie. This is the best movie I've read.
