This book is the beginning of the Star Wars book and movie series. (not counting 4,5,6) One Jedi and his Padawan apprentice, Qui Gon Jinn and Obi Wan Kenobi, promise to protect the queen of Naboo, Queen Amidala. All three of them head off to Tatooine, with the queen disguising herself and Padmé. They meet Anakin Skywalker, and they have a war between the Empire. Anakin saves the day, but Qui Gon Jinn dies. I gave this book a 5 star rating because once I started reading it, I didn't want to put it down! I made a text-to world connection because I watched the movie several times.

Star Wars a Phantom Menace is about Obi-Wan-Kenobi. A jedi apprentice. He, though just an apprentice, is one of the most talented jedi of them all. In the end he helps defeated the evil Darth Maul after he kills Obi-Wan's master and they fall into a pit of nothingness. I can connect to this book because I am a huge fan of the Star Wars series and it is something I enjoy reading. I liked it because it was very action packed and got me to keep reading.
