this is a wonderful true story about a girl who was diagnosed with polio. She fought the sickness for about a year, and she won. Her wish for her thirteenth birthday was that she would be able to walk again. And she did.

One day peg got sick. Her parents thought it was just the flu. But the doctor came and diagnosed her with polio or poliomyelitis. She went to Sheltering Arm hospital in Minneapolis. And left there. She went to the University hospital and was paralyzed from the neck down. And had hard breathing . She got an iron lung, hot pads, therapy, wheelchair, and walking sticks hoping she would walk. Will she walk again? A true story about Peg Kehret.
