When Tara, a self-proclaimed shrinking violet, steals the school mascot, a goat, in order to make some friends with the popular crowd and gets caught, she gets herself in a heap of trouble. In addition, her parents decide that instead of taking her on their summer trip to Madagascar to study the courtship rituals of the Bamboo Lemur, she must go stay with her aunt, uncle, and bratty cousin Emily St. Claire in Willow Falls. Tara thinks it's a good time to start over; she'll be turning 13 after all, so she might as well make the best of it and perhaps even attempt to break out of her shell (in a non-criminal manner). What Tara doesn't know is that this charmed town has something big in store for her on her 13th birthday. It's not a typical birthday. But then again, nothing is Willow Falls is exactly typical!

I love this book as much as 11 Birthdays! 13 Gifts takes on many exiting adventures in the small but interesting town of Willow Falls.
This book is pretty funny and if you haven't read her other books you really should.
This is a hilarious story and is very entertaining. Sadly I did not read the first two but I would like to. The characters are odd and have lots of personality.
13 Gifts is a good book , although not my favorite Wendy Mass books, does have a friendly, hit of magic feel.
u must read this book!!
I love this series!!!!
This book is super interesting and it kept me on my toes for the next part! Plus it had a happy ending that satisfied me greatly!
This book is about a girl named Tara who does something to impress a cool group, and gets suspended. Her parents send her to Willow Falls, a very odd town for the summer. After another poor decision, she meets Angelina D'Angelo, who tells her she must collect 13 objects before her 13th birthday. This book is a real page-turner.
It is a very exciting book.
