A thrilling new series soars above the competition and redefines middle-grade fantasy fiction for a new generation!

The seven dragon tribes have been at war for generations, locked in an endless battle over an ancient, lost treasure. A secret movement called the Talons of Peace is determined to bring an end to the fighting, with the help of a prophecy -- a foretelling that calls for great sacrifice.

Five dragonets are collected to fulfill the prophecy, raised in a hidden cave and enlisted, against their will, to end the terrible war.

But not every dragonet wants a destiny. And when the select five escape their underground captors to look for their original homes, what has been unleashed on the dragon world may be far more than the revolutionary planners intended . . .

This is an amazing book. I love all the character traits displayed in this book: Clay; loyal, Tsunami; bossy, Glory; fierce, Starflight; smart, and Sunny; kind.

I won this book from dogo! It's about Clay and his friends (dragons) growing up under a cave to secretly fulfill a prophecy. I recommend it for 4-8 graders

I read it in 2nd and it was just as good as now.

this book is so amazing. it talks about friendship and betrayal and truth. this book is about some dragonets that are being used to stop a huge war between 3 sandwing (sand dragons) queens. you will love this book when you read it.

A good book for all ages above 9, Wings of Fire is the book of its time. It is about dragons, unlike humans, yet it keeps readers hyped and ready for whatever comes next. There is more emotion in it that there is in some other books. It is about some dragons that live with cruel "guardians" that want to boss them around so they would stop the war. They escaped and went to the real world where they encounter some weak humans (people are a small nuisance to them, kind of like snakes).I loved the book so much!

I read the book last year, and I reread it this year. It is an amazing...and new book that I would definitely read if I hadn't. It brings so much new things to your mind when reading books after you read it. Unlike most books, it is focused on a mythical animal.. A dragon! It starts deep in a cave, where dragons are living a cruel life with their horrible elders. The elders are part of some kind of rebellion, but when they are there, the rebellion kind of seems evil. The group of dragons escape and fly away to a different land where everyone is much crueler and they almost die! I would rate this book 5/5 because of how amazing it is!

This book Was amazing! The five Dragonets, Having to decide Whom to choose as their ruler, and save the fate of the world. I can't wait to read the second book once I get my hands on it!

I didn't really like this book. It was full of dragons! It didn't have a very good story line. I felt like the dragons didn't have a lot of personality.

If you saw the book cover, you knew it would be about dragons. The dragons had a LOT of personality. I think you are wrong with that.

yeah the dragons are more complex than some people I know...

5 dragonets are chosen to end the terrible war that has been raging for twenty years. Sunny, Starflight, Tsunami, Clay, and Glory. Queen Scarlet, Queen of the SkyWings, before the dragonets are hatched, thinks she has ended the supposed "Dragonet Prophecy" by dropping the SkyWing egg off the side of the cliff. In a frantic search, Webs, a guardian of The Talons of Peace, brings back a RainWing egg to replace the shattered SkyWing egg. The Talons of Peace raise the 5 dragonets under a mountain until they are ready to end the war alone. When they uncover a plot to kill Glory, the spare RainWing, their only hope is too escape. Can they? Or will they become victims of the terrible war like so many other dragons and dragonets before them?

I love this book! I really enjoyed it because it has dragons. Also, I really like clay because he is so nice - and a big eater- like me!!!! I can't wait to read the third book! ( I already read the second one :)
