The action and adventure continue in this stunning fantasy from a rising literary star.

Gregor is summoned back to the Underland by the terms of a second prophecy. Spies have reported the sighting of a Rat King, a character who has been legendary since the Middle Ages. Recognizable by its tremendous size and snow-white coat, the Rat King is destined to bring a World War to the Underland. Gregor eventually comes face to face with the Rat King, and to his surprise, he finds he is unable to kill this creature. His heart tells him he's making the right decision. Will it be a decision he lives to regret?

The series was really cool! Imagine a world where all your everyday creatures are oversized. That is what the UNDERWORLD is like in Gregor's land. He must venture out into the world and save Regalia, which is like Rome but a lot more modern, and dark. Collins wrote a book nothing like the hunger games, and I think all of the Collins fans out there should read it!

This book is great. Its about another prophecy, the prophecy of Bane. Gregor must set off to defeat the to-be rat king, but can he do it?

in class we just finished the other book Gregor the over lander and i it was really good at the end of the book it starts talking about the prophecy of bane that comes after the prophecy of gray. it was a really good book you should read it

My friend lent me this book and I read it in a day. It was so awesome! It was just like the first, it was mystery in the beginning then action. I can't wait for the third!

This is when Gregor helps on a prophecy about a gargantuan rat who will try to take over the world.

well the reason why i read the book is because i read the first one... and Suzanne (the author) just really has a way with words and she just leaves you on this hook. so you kind of have to and when you read it there is this message a everyday message(if you have siblings you know what i'm talking about) also about stuff like should or would so yeah once you read it also the magical stuff that happens will have you falling for it. it is basically like real life (if you live in new York) but better bigger and with a whole more responsibility. trust me you will love it. and if you don't read the hungergames

If you didn't know before reading this book, it's the second book in the Underland Chronicles. Read the first book first. I may accidently spoil something about the first in the review, but I doubt it. Still, no one likes a spoiler. Only really weird people. (A.k.a.: some of my closest friends, but whatever.) After returning from the Underland the first time, Gregor swore never to return. But now he has no choice. The giant cockroaches that inhabit the Underland have kidnapped his sister, who they call their "princess". At first Gregor's angry about this, but then he found out their reason. It was foretold in a prophesy that if the rats killed Boots, they would rule the Underland. And if it meant they would have power over the Regalians. . . the rats would stop at nothing until she was dead.
