Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has survived the Hunger Games twice. But now that she's made it out of the bloody arena alive, she's still not safe. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge. Who do they think should pay for the unrest? Katniss. And what's worse, President Snow has made it clear that no one else is safe either. Not Katniss's family, not her friends, not the people of District 12. Powerful and haunting, this thrilling final installment of Suzanne Collins's groundbreaking The Hunger Games trilogy promises to be one of the most talked about books of the year.

In this third installment of The Hunger Games series, Katniss feels a lot of pressure as she takes on the role of the Mockingjay. As the Mockingjay, she is responsible for firing up the rebellion and intimidating the Capitol. With the stress of Peeta still being held in the Capitol and her new Mockingjay duties, she finds herself unable to think at all about who she will choose; Gale or Peeta? Finally, District 13 sets up a rescue mission to get Peeta, but when they come back, Katniss is in for a rude awakening. Peeta has been hijacked, meaning that President Snow has changed all memories of Katniss to make them bad and pretty much completely altered Peeta's brain. As the rebels continue fighting, Katniss struggles to help Peeta remember the truth. Will he ever be the same? I love this series! I read the entire trilogy in about four days! I HIGHLY recommend it!

I couldn't get through this book. I just didn't like it at all. The others were great, but this one, just something about it offput me.

You have to get through the 2nd chapter to really be drawn into it. the first chapter is just alot of information.

maxwell maxwell

the book is as good as the movie I havent seen the new one but I cant wait

This is where katniss really finds her strentgh nd fully commits to rebellion against the capitol. She doesnt really have a choice like in the hunger games but this time she has her experience from the games and the strength and confidence ahe has auned from them. The capitol thinks they are clever but she has a plan!

This book was really good. I love Suzanne Collins's work. I would definitely read this series again. I gave this book a four out of five because it had an open ending. It left you wanting more because it felt unfinished. Still, I highly recommend.

***SPOILERS AHEAD, WARNING*** This book was a little different from the other books, but I did love it. There were the moments that really I wasn't much fond of, like I wasn't that into the times when Katniss had to go on camera for the war, but there were other moments that made me want to cry and really touched me. Like the deaths of Finnick, Prim, and other deaths. It wasn't as good at the first and second, the first and second were really what made me sit at the edge of my seat, but the other two, I wan't as fond of.
