A special new edition in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, with a stunning new cover illustration by Caldecott Medalist Brian Selznick.

There is a door at the end of a silent corridor. And it's haunting Harry Potter's dreams. Why else would he be waking in the middle of the night, screaming in terror?

It's not just the upcoming O.W.L. exams; a new teacher with a personality like poisoned honey; a venomous, disgruntled house-elf; or even the growing threat of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Now Harry Potter is faced with the unreliability of the very government of the magical world and the impotence of the authorities at Hogwarts.

Despite this (or perhaps because of it), he finds depth and strength in his friends, beyond what even he knew; boundless loyalty; and unbearable sacrifice.

This gorgeous new edition in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone features a newly designed cover illustrated by Caldecott Medalist Brian Selznick, as well as the beloved original interior decorations by Mary GrandPré.

The characters get older, the books get fatter! The Order of the Phoenix is really good, as all of them are!

Harry Potter #5 is definitely the best book of the series. Go dumbledore's army!

with the uprising popularity, you should check it out! This is book five of seven!

The fifth book in the Harry Potter series, so cleverly written by Miss J.K. Rowling. You certainly must have this book in your collection.

I still love the book, but in the middle like when he is like fighting like Voldemort's mind it was a little boring :)

so good. way too good.

I like Harry potter and I like the movie? But I don't have the books yet

You definitely should read the books!

This is probably my favorite book so far and it will always be my favorite book ever.

This book is about Harry Potter's fifth year at Hogwarts. In this book, he runs into more challenges, and one of the main ones is his OWL exams for his 5th year. The story begins during the summer, when he was living at the Dursley's house, his aunt's family's house. Harry and his cousin, Dudley were attacked by Demontors when they were walking home, and Harry performed the Patronus charm to get them away, he succeeds. However, when the Ministry of Magic learns about this, letters were sent to the Dursleys' house, and one of them was that Harry had been expelled. But fortunately, after a hearing at his trial from the Ministry of Magic Harry was cleared of all charges and wan't expelled. After the summer Harry returns to Hogwarts for his 5th year. They have a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, her name is Dolores Umbridge. Umbridge becomes an unpopular teacher at Hogwarts very quickly. She didn't let the students perform any magic in class, she gave detentions to Harry after he told the truth, and because she is the high inquisitor, she inspected teachers and their classes and teachers didn't like it. Because of her not allowing any magic to be performed in class, Harry and some of his friends start a secret Defense Against the Dark Arts group, where they practice magic and how to defend themselves. I think this is a good book, and I would suggest this book to people who are looking for a god book to read, especially if you've read the first 4 books.

It is cool
