A special new edition in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, with a stunning new cover illustration by Caldecott Medalist Brian Selznick.

There is a door at the end of a silent corridor. And it's haunting Harry Potter's dreams. Why else would he be waking in the middle of the night, screaming in terror?

It's not just the upcoming O.W.L. exams; a new teacher with a personality like poisoned honey; a venomous, disgruntled house-elf; or even the growing threat of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Now Harry Potter is faced with the unreliability of the very government of the magical world and the impotence of the authorities at Hogwarts.

Despite this (or perhaps because of it), he finds depth and strength in his friends, beyond what even he knew; boundless loyalty; and unbearable sacrifice.

This gorgeous new edition in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone features a newly designed cover illustrated by Caldecott Medalist Brian Selznick, as well as the beloved original interior decorations by Mary GrandPré.

The best book ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to read this, beware, it is EXTREMELY long which I think puts off kids from wanting to read this book. I think it would have been better if they split this book into two parts because kids are wanting to read this book but having 800 pages to go through is quite a stress and you end up reading it for the sake of reading and not being engaged in the story. It tried 3 times reading this book so I had to skip it and read it when I had read some longer books so it wouldn't be so hard. Apart from the length, this book was EXCELLENT. The characters are executed amazingly. This book goes so in-depth with the story and I LOVE that. This is one of the best Harry Potter books of all time. I started reading this book series two years ago and I only got around to finishing TODAY. No it didn't take me that long read it because it only took about 2 weeks. But it took me so long to get interested in the story and the things that Harry and is friends (Ron and Hermine) go through. Overall this is an excellent book but it just takes a long time to get engaged in the story. I give Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix a B (A+ being the highest and F- being the lowest)

This was probably my favorite Harry Potter book. But I don't know because I HAVENT read the 7th book.😖😖😖😖😖😖😖That is how I feel!

I have not read the 7th one either

In this book, Harry loses his god father of murder, has a horrible teacher with a personality like spoiled honey. I LOVED IT!!

Person 1 Person 1

This year, Harry Potter is a fifth grade wizard at Hogwart's. He now knows aboout the Order Of the Phoenix. He has these visions that happens when hes sleeping. One of his visions saved Mr. Weasleys life. Another one of his visions was when He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was torturing Sirius Black, Harrys godfather in the ministry. He goes there and fights He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

its AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The book I read was Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling. Harry Potter has dreams about a corridor with a door at the end of the corridor, harry and his friends want to see what is inside the door. My favorite part of the book is when harry goes to the Order of the Phoenix and find that Sirius Black is there (his godfather). I recommend this book to anyone who likes a big book or just wants to read a lot all the time and it is a very good book.

This book is about Harry Potter's fifth year at Hogwarts. He is introduced to the Order of the Phoenix, which is a group that Dumbledore founded. It is a wizarding organization that tries to convince the wizarding world that Voldemort is actually back and they are not pretending. Harry learns to apply Occlumency, taught by his least favorite teacher, Professor Snape. Harry needs to learn Occlumency because he needs to block his mind from Voldemort. Voldemort plants a false image in Harry's mind, showing that his godfather is being tortured as a trap for Harry. This leads to disaster in the end.

I think that this book is amazing and everyone should read it because it is full of thrill. I LOVE IT (read the whole series)
