I loved this book, and have read the whole series. I recommend this book for avid fifth or fourth grade readers

If you like the hunger games and such, this is a great book for you! It is a book about A 14 year old experiment and her "Flock. Her name is Maximum Ride. The flock's names are Fang, Iggy (Who is blind),Angel,(A Cute 6 year old with mind-reading Powers)The Gasman(A really adorable 8-Yo Who passes gas a lot, and LOVES to blow stuff up) and Nudge. It is fairly long but is amazing. After you read this, Maximum ride: School's Out- Forever is the 2nd book.

If you like the Hunger Games,this is a great book for you.It has lots of action.it is good for 4-older Good readers.over all one of my favorites.Follow for more awesome stuff!

Maximum Ride is a seriously good paranormal fiction book. it's about these kids that were engineered in an evil lab called the School so they have 2% avivan (bird) genes. It's really, really funny and fast-paced. It's pretty long, but you can get through it quickly. You won't be able to put it down! :) --E., (Skypainter)
My other review: This book is really really good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's about six kids who are genetically engineered in a lab to have 2% avian genes so they can fly! this book was full of action and humor! James Patterson did a wonderful job with it! I love this book and the series a lot! i also enjoy some other books by him. He is such a well written author and i loved the book!
