Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.

The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.

I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.

August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.

"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

This book I read TWICE during the 4th grade, and really enjoyed it. You should read "Wonder" if you have not already.

This is a wonderful, short read that has a huge impact. A story about a boy who was born with a facial deformity, and struggles to overcome his physical appearance. Auggie Pullman is bullied in school for his deformity (I personally wouldn't call it that..) and is shunned by his classmates. He learns over the course of the school year that true friends won't bully you for who you are-they will love you no matter what. I loved both the book and the movie Wonder, and both made me cry. I definitely recommend it to all ages.

Wonder was WONDERFUL. It's cut how he is trying to survive with his face. at the end he has friends and lives happy for the time being ( that meaning he probably has more things to go through before he lives happily ever after)

I like this book a lot because it is all about being nice to people

I think this book is good because it tells people that they could do anything even if they look different, or even have special needs!!!

I have it at home I'm like at at page 30 so far it's been good happy and sad I'm on chapter one the book so long so long struggling to read it on this now going into third grade and now it's going to be kind of easier but there's I skip over words that I don't know but once I get older I I go back in the book in like read it the vacation that we went on I was like I'm Paige 40 so I'm still struggling to get to 40 so good mandated for everybody I'm going to give it five stars

It is a good book! It is a very nice book with a very sad tale of a boy with a medical anomaly (or a face deconstruction, to put it simple.) It tells you to stand out even if you're different and I think it is a great moral. It tells bullies to stop bullying as well. Overall, this gets 5 stars for the great moral.

This book was so inspiring that I nearly cried. This book is about August (Auggie) Pullman, who has a rare medical facial deformity, also known as Treacher Collins syndrome or a cleft palate. He is starting in a new school, at age ten, and he is easily the easiest target for bullying. As he goes through the school year, people are jealous, people are supporting, and some people are just neutral. He bears through it all and he forms the most heart-breaking story ever made. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good book.

This is one of the best books i have ever read, and trust me i have read tons of books . This book is written creatively and is great for anyone. It shows the struggles when your dealing with a bully and that not everyone is going to look the same. And that you always should choose kind
