Book 16 of 18 in the  I Survived Series
Eleven-year-old John Hale has already survived one brutal Dakota winter, and now he's about to experience one of the deadliest blizzards in American history. The storm of 1888 was a monster, a frozen hurricane that slammed into America's midwest without warning. Within hours, America's prairie would be buried under ten feet of snow. Hundreds would be dead, thousands terrified and lost and freezing.

John never wanted to move to the wide-open prairie. He's a city kid, not a tough pioneer! But his inner strength is seriously tested when he finds himself trapped in the blinding snow, the wind like a giant crushing hammer, pounding him over and over again. Will John ever find his way home?

I loved the book i just did a reflecsin on it and it was easy case i new every little word i had to say

John is a city kid, and after surviving a brutal winter in the prairie last year, he does not have an idea of how bad this storm can be. Picture this: It is a nice day and then hours later snow covering the ground like a blanket, the wind pounding in you're face, and thousands dead and horrified, just because a storm hits without any warning. John needs to find his strength and face the cold, windy day with the companionship of a classroom. It is going to be a rough night, but everyone needs to get through this, and test their determination when they deter the blizzard from causing any harm to them. Overall, I loved this book and that horrible day will enter my mind forever.

This book tells a story that contains suspense and emotion. John experienced a horrible experience during a storm, and he did not crumble even though he was scared. I gave this book four stars because I was on the edge of my seat waiting to read what was going to happen next.
