this is a classic, and the tv show made it so much better. i fell in love with gilbert because he's just so perfect! the ending broke my heart, but you can see how much anne has changed to become an even better person.

Anne of Green Gables is a really good book, about Anne, an orphan, who is sent to live with Marilla, who doesn't want Anne to stay with them, and Matthew, who does.
I've just finished reading this book and all I can say is that it was really heartwarming. Anne is such a creative, imaginative, and grateful girl and it was really interesting to watch her grow as a person. I'm excited to read the next book and I recommend this to anyone who wants to sit down and read a story with a unique main character!

Anne of Green Gables is a wonderful story! I have read and re-read this book many times. I love how it describes Anne's imagination, beliefs, and thoughts as though Anne is talking about them to you. I absolutely hated it when the book ended, but then I moved on to the next one! The only fault I found was in the fact that some of the words were written wrong, but that was probably just how they talked back then.
How would you feel if nobody ever loved you, never cared about you? What if you were so excited that someone actually cared about you just to find out they really don’t? In Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery, Anne, the protagonist’s parents died of the flu when she was very young leaving her in multiple different orphanages and homes throughout her childhood that never loved her or cared about her. The book takes place in many areas around Prince Edward Island, Canada which back when the book takes place was a part of Britain. The antagonist of the story is a young bratty girl named Josie Pye, throughout the book Josie constantly tries to ruin Anne’s life. Anne’s big aha moment in her life is when she finds out that the Cuthberts want to keep here, this was an aha moment because nobody had ever wanted her. I would recommend this book to someone who is looking for a romantic drama.
Anne, My most favorite book character right now and my most beloved one. Though this book move fast, I have enjoyed every single second of this book.Unlike other people who like fun, happy parts, mine is very dramatic. My favorite part is when Gilbert Blythe attempts to ask Anne to be his friend but she refuses. I think this is a very good part because it's most detailed.

best book series ever. i have loved anne for five years and will never let her go. this novel is better every time i reread it.
This book was amazing! I love how Anne is such a descriptive girl and is different and unique compared to others. As an orphan, she was shocked of the difference she realizes she has in her after she was adopted by a brother and sister.
