I thought that this book was pretty good. 12 year old Percy has a pretty normal life. But when he finds out that his dad is a Greek god, he must go the adventure of a lifetime to find out what happens. I gave this book 5 stars because I liked all the Greek good references and all the action!

Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school... again. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to stay out of trouble. But can he really be expected to stand by and watch while a bully picks on his scrawny best friend? Or not defend himself against his pre-algebra teacher when she turns into a monster and tries to kill him? Of course, no one believes Percy about the monster incident; he's not even sure he believes himself. Until the Minotaur chases him to summer camp. Suddenly, mythical creatures seem to be walking straight out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life. The gods of Mount Olympus, he's coming to realize, are very much alive in the twenty-first century. And worse, he's angered a few of them: Zeus's master lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Now Percy has just ten days to find and return Zeus's stolen property, and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus. On a daring road trip from their summer camp in New York to the gates of the Underworld in Los Angeles, Percy and his friends -- one a satyr and the other the demigod daughter of Athena -- will face a host of enemies determined to stop them. To succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the true thief: he must come to terms with the father who abandoned him; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of failure and betrayal by a friend; and unravel a treachery more powerful than the gods themselves.

This book is cool. I love it.
I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!! It tells you about greek mythology and it is about a boy named Percy who gets kicked out of boarding school for about five times and finds out his best friend/his only friend (Grover) is a Satyr. After he gets kicked out of school he fights a Minotaur. He finds himself in Camp Half-Blood where he finds out that he is a half-blood and is the son of Poseidon when he was playing a game of capture the flag. He is then sent on a quest to find the best bolt of Zeus which was stolen (I don't want to say who it would spill the beans :)). Percy found the stolen bolt and went to the 600th floor of the Empire State Building to return it and saw his father, Poseidon there. Personally, this is my favorite book so far and I have the whole series of Percy Jackson. I will look for more books from Rick Riordan (the author of Percy Jackson) and I highly recommend this book to whoever is reading this.

THIS BOOK IS AMAZING!!
I really love this book❤❤
Hello, I'm back. I love this book!
It was a great book. It is about a kid named Percy who finds out he is a demigod, which is half man and half God, and his father is the Greek God Poseidon. He goes to a camp for demigods, and gets sent to a dangerous quest. This book had very good details so you know exactly what was happening, memorable characters, suspense, A LOT of ACTION, and a HUGE twist in the end. I am not going to spoil it, so you should go read the book. Also, after you read it, you won't stop reading Rick Riordan's books.
This review was very detailed and tells you a lot about how good the book is and some of the things the book has in it like the memorable characters. Nice Job!
