Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school... again. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to stay out of trouble. But can he really be expected to stand by and watch while a bully picks on his scrawny best friend? Or not defend himself against his pre-algebra teacher when she turns into a monster and tries to kill him? Of course, no one believes Percy about the monster incident; he's not even sure he believes himself. Until the Minotaur chases him to summer camp. Suddenly, mythical creatures seem to be walking straight out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life. The gods of Mount Olympus, he's coming to realize, are very much alive in the twenty-first century. And worse, he's angered a few of them: Zeus's master lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Now Percy has just ten days to find and return Zeus's stolen property, and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus. On a daring road trip from their summer camp in New York to the gates of the Underworld in Los Angeles, Percy and his friends -- one a satyr and the other the demigod daughter of Athena -- will face a host of enemies determined to stop them. To succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the true thief: he must come to terms with the father who abandoned him; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of failure and betrayal by a friend; and unravel a treachery more powerful than the gods themselves.

I love these books soooooooo much they are all amazing I fell in love when I read it and I'm still reading the different series that he has wrote they are extraordinary
This is an extraordinary book about the Percy Jackson going on a quest with his friends to find the thief who stole the lightning bolt of Zues. Percy Jackson finds out about his water powers (being the son of Poseidon) and goes down to the Underworld. He has to make a decision to save his mom who was captured by Hades or his best friend. He makes a decision to save his friends and finds out that Ares, the war God stole the lightning bolt. They have an intense battle and at the end, Percy Jackson wins. Because of this he goes to Mount Olympus and gives Zues his lightning bolt. When he thought everything was going to end happily, he finds out that his friend, Luke was going to help Kronos come back to reign the world.
Have you ever imagined that the gods walk the earth. Have you ever imagined yourself being one of their kids, and being all strong, and famous, and having all these super cool powers? Well what if I told you that they do, well at least in Rick Riordan’s books they do, although, not the whole strong, god kid thing. Meet Percy Jackson, demigod son of Poseidon. If he didn’t tell you and you didn’t see him sending giant tidal waves at his enemies you wouldn’t know we was a demigod. He was brought to a safe haven for demigods called Camp Half Blood by his best friend and protecter, Grover, who also happens to be a sayter (half man, half goat). Percy, Grover, and Annabeth, one of his new friends from camp, set off on a journey of a lifetime
Oh this book is so great! Get this book and start reading! I love the characters, the plot, and the storyline! Make more!
If you like mythology, teamwork, and friendship, you will really like this book. It has a lot of adventure, and it is very descriptive. I also think that it is pretty easy to read. If you are looking for a book to read just for fun, this is the book for you. Percy Jackson is a 12-year-old boy. He has two friends named, Annabeth, the daughter of Athena, and Grover, a caytr. Percy starts out thinking he is a normal boy. But, that all changes on his trip to a museum.
One of my all-time favorite books. Action-packed and so interesting. Also, a great way to learn about greek mythology. Go on an adventure with Grover, Annabeth, and Percy to save Olympus from going to war!
THIS BOOK IS SOOO GOOD!!!! I love Percy Jackson's sense of humor! This series is totally one of my favorite serieses yet . I can't wait yo read more!
I think you should read this amazing book because it is great and adventurous for children to read. It amazes children to read. When I read it, it fascinated me to read it over and over. The story even made me learn the Greek gods. I liked the goddess Artemis, goddess of the moon and and hunt. So kids who are 9 or more, I think you should read this amazing book.
I totally agree with you!
I used to not understand the hype surrounding Percy Jackson at all. What was so exciting about some ancient gods and an 11-year-old dude trying to brave the dangers of a now-extinct mythology? However, after my sister bought "Percy Jackson's Greek Gods," I became admittedly enthralled with the slapstick humor and intricateness of it all. On a whim, I decided to purchase the entire Percy Jackson series for about $40. Turns out, it was not on a whim at all. Just from the first few pages of the book, I was sucked into Percy Jackson's captivating world of monsters and gods. It was completely worth the money and I couldn't believe I hadn't tried reading the series before. Please don't discriminate against the popularity of this book and give it a try, it is absolutely fascinating!
