In this groundbreaking tour de force, Caldecott Medalist and bookmaking pioneer Brian Selznick sails into uncharted territory and takes readers on an awe-inspiring journey.

Ben and Rose secretly wish their lives were different. Ben longs for the father he has never known. Rose dreams of a mysterious actress whose life she chronicles in a scrapbook. When Ben discovers a puzzling clue in his mother's room and Rose reads an enticing headline in the newspaper, both children set out alone on desperate quests to find what they are missing.

Set fifty years apart, these two independent stories--Ben's told in words, Rose's in pictures--weave back and forth with mesmerizing symmetry. How they unfold and ultimately intertwine will surprise you, challenge you, and leave you breathless with wonder. Rich, complex, affecting, and beautiful--with over 460 pages of original artwork--Wonderstruckis a stunning achievement from a gifted artist and visionary.

This book is even better than The Invention of Hugo Cabret and that was brilliant!

I am not all of the way through it, but so far it is so good five stars, if I could I'd give it more. It's about two intertwining stories that connect near the end, where I'm at. If you liked hugo cabret then you will love this book, which in my opinion is AWESOME! :) :) :) :) :) : ): ) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Wonder Struck is a really good book. I love sophisticated picture books. I really liked how there was a story in words and a story in pictures and how in the end they both connected. When I saw this book in the public library I grabbed it immediately. I grabbed it because I have read his book "The Invention Of Hugo Cabret" and equally loved it. I liked it how it was different to his other books. I really recommend this book to all. I really love reading and this website. Wonder Struck really got to me. I love it!
