The dazzling new novel from Nicola Yoon, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Everything, Everything (in theaters now!), will have you falling in love with Natasha and Daniel as they fall in love with each other!

Natasha:
I’m a girl who believes in science and facts. Not fate. Not destiny. Or dreams that will never come true. I’m definitely not the kind of girl who meets a cute boy on a crowded New York City street and falls in love with him. Not when my family is twelve hours away from being deported to Jamaica. Falling in love with him won’t be my story.

Daniel: I’ve always been the good son, the good student, living up to my parents’ high expectations. Never the poet. Or the dreamer. But when I see her, I forget about all that. Something about Natasha makes me think that fate has something much more extraordinary in store—for both of us.

The Universe: Every moment in our lives has brought us to this single moment. A million futures lie before us. Which one will come true?

"Beautifully crafted."--People Magazine

"A book that is very much about the many factors that affect falling in love, as much as it is about the very act itself . . . fans of Yoon’s first novel, Everything Everything, will find much to love—if not, more—in what is easily an even stronger follow up." —Entertainment Weekly

"Transcends the limits of YA as a human story about falling in love and seeking out our futures." —POPSUGAR.com

Natasha doesn't believe in love, or fate, or destiny. With being 12 hours away from being deported back to Jamaica, she runs into Daniel, the Korean boy with parents who want him to do something he doesn't want to do. Neither of them believe in love at first time, but the universe has proved them wrong. But one question still stands, did the universe bring them together to bring them apart? In this fast paced slow burn romance novel, Yoon has done a wonderful job, gathering many readers with this new amazing take on love at first sight.

Yo, yo, yo! This is another great romance that I will definately be reading on a cozy afternoon sipping peppermint tea when it's snowing outside. Daniel and Natasha earn my favorite book couple of the year.

This book is as bright and beautiful as the stars in the night sky! The Sun is Also a Star is narrated by Daniel and Natasha, two characters with very different personalities. While Daniel is poetic and believes in the power of dreams and love, Natasha thinks scientific facts and a reliable, structured life are enough. But when they meet one fateful day in New York City, their lives are changed forever by each other. The author, Nicola Yoon, has always been great with representation in her books, and this novel doesn't disappoint: The Sun is Also a Star is racially diverse and explores unique life situations, such as Natasha being an illegal immigrant living in the United States. The main thing I disliked about the book was that, even though there were 300+ pages, the story is just one day of Daniel and Natasha's lives. And in just those 24 hours, Daniel and Natasha somehow fell in love and knew they were meant to be. The point of the book was to justify "love at first sight," but it just wasn't understandable to me and often seemed cheesy. Luckily, Yoon is a skilled enough writer for the story to not be excruciatingly slow. I was still able to enjoy the story. This is definitely a very real story about how nothing is ever predictable. I would recommend it to teen readers looking for romance and rumination!

I love this book, and I can't wait to see the movie, the way the author writes the book explaining Natasha's troubles really opens my eyes to see how many problems there are in the world dealing with illegal immigration.

This book examines the United State's unfair immigration policies through a 17-year-old girl, Natasha Kingsley's last day in New York City before her family is deported. In addition, the themes of mental health, dreams, and immigrant families are explored.

Before this book I had read Everything Everything and I loved it! So I decided to try it and it was very good. If you have read Everything Everything I recremend it.

I love this book it is a very good book filled with twist and turns.

this book is very touching even though i'm with Natasha i'm her I'm just into school not love or anything else.

Amazing but a little hard to keep track of who you are reading about.

This book is SO amazing!! I instantly fell in love with Daniel and Natasha. The characters are just so real, relatable, and honest. This novel has it all....humor, drama, romance, and a dash of suspense. I could not put it down and even cried at the end. Yeah, I am a guy and I cried at the end of this eye opening, inspiring, and amazing story! There, I said it.
