Meet Rose Howard, a girl who is obsessed with homonyms, prime numbers, and rules. Her class mates don't understand why she is obsessed, or why she gets all the special attention. The reason being is because she has a syndrome called Asperger's. Her Uncle Weldon and her dog Rain, (Rein, Reign) seem to be the only ones who understand her. Her father, who is almost never around let's Rain, out in a superstorm. After finding her, Rose will have to make a hard decision, on weather she gets to keep Rain, or say good bye, to her. At first I thought this book was a little annoying with all the little details, but by the end of the book, Rose and her homonyms had grown on me. All in all it was worth reading.

A New York Times Bestseller!
Rose Howard is obsessed with homonyms. She's thrilled that her own name is a homonym, and she purposely gave her dog Rain a name with two homonyms (Reign, Rein), which, according to Rose's rules of homonyms, is very special. Not everyone understands Rose's obsessions, her rules, and the other things that make her different – not her teachers, not other kids, and not her single father.
When a storm hits their rural town, rivers overflow, the roads are flooded, and Rain goes missing. Rose's father shouldn't have let Rain out. Now Rose has to find her dog, even if it means leaving her routines and safe places to search.
Hearts will break and spirits will soar for this powerful story, brilliantly told from Rose's point of view.

Rose Howard has Asperger's syndrome, the result being she is obsessed with homonyms and prime numbers. It is harder for her to make friends and do well in school, and she struggles with her inpatient, single father as well. Rose's dog, Rain (Reign), makes everything better, though, keeping Rose company after school whether father is at work or a bar. But one night during a hurricane, Rose's father lets Rain out, and she gets lost. WIll Rose be able to find Rain, or will something get in the way? I thought this book was pretty good, but the ending was a little less dramatic then the summary suggested.
