This is about a girl named Matilda. She is very intelligent and when she was one year old she knew many more words than an adult. My favorite part is when Miss Trunchbull told Bruce Boggtrotter to eat the cake to the last crumble and to everyone's surprise he ate the gigantic cake. I recommend kids of the age 8 - 12 must read this book.

I've read this book like a million times! I LOVED this book SO much! Matilda is the BEST 5-6 year old I have EVER met! I can't believe that Trunchbull is SO mean! I'm glad that Matilda won that fight.

I love this book very much! I think Matilda is so, cute and smart! Sometimes I get bored and it is not fun to read like a book that is like 800pages long but this book is short and fun so, I love it!

This book was one of the most interesting books of all that I read in this year. I liked this story so much. Matilda, it was also on the movie. I felt the book and movie was somehow a little different, but it was still fun. While I was reading the book, I just became so serious what I almost got into the book. Matilda the main character, and Ms. Trunchbull, she was being too mean to Matilda, this part was one of the part that I get angry with while reading the book. But it was also one of the part that I enjoyed. The events in the story was interesting, or something was funny. I really enjoyed the story.

....... IT IS SO HARD TO PUT THIS AMAZING BOOK INTO WORDS! I just, love it! I'd just DIE if this book wasn't written by one of my favorite authors, Roald Dahl. I cried when I read this book, Mr. and Mrs. Wormwood are so mean to Matilda! I literally wanted to jump into the book and punch both of them in the face! I have read the book 18 times, seen the musical 4 times, and watched the movie 27 times. Matilda truly inspires me to never give up and always keep trying, even when your parents huge meanies that you want to punch in the face :( I have read over 500 books in my life, and Matilda is one of MY FAVORITE BOOKS IN THE WHOLE WORLD! I read the whole book at least 2 times before I go to bed, and in the morning, I am always reading, reading, reading! I have read all of Roald Dahl's books, I also have all of them, I have 8 copies of each, they all take up a whole shelf, and I just love his books, my friends are like, "Ew, why are you reading that old book? Its written by an old guy who has no idea what he is talking about." I don't understand people sometimes because I give this book 100 million stars and if this book was never written, I don't think I'd be able to live.

i personally love this book it is amazing and i just finished it.... Matilda is amazing and also a great role model!!!! I think ronald dahl should make more books like that! :)

This book is so cute and extraordinary. Matilda stole my heart and my feelings, if i could of, i would have adopted her. Roald did an amazing job expressing Matilda's character.

This is a very popular book and so is the movie. Matilda is a girl who lives in a greedy, rich and selfish family, that shouldn't be hers. She is astonishingly intelligent, being able to read and write her name perfectly at the age of one! For her whole life, she always wanted to go to school. Then one day, her father grants her wish…but it isn't what Matilda expected. The evil principal, Ms.Trunchbull torments and hurts Matilda daily. Just the sight of her makes Ms.Trunchbull go bonkers! However, Matilda gets the teacher of her dreams, Ms.Honey. Ms.Honey is like an angel to the school, and the only nice teacher. Soon Matilda's and Ms.Honey's relationship blossom into something much more, and eventually they bring down the horrid principal. Heart-warming, motivational and unique, this book with definitely amaze you. Matilda changed the lives of the students at her school, and she will change your life, too.
