In this book, follow Michael on a journey for survival. When an accident occurs, and Michael slipped of of his family's ship, he finds his way to a island, with his dog, who also fell off. But they soon find the island isn't as lonely as they thought... with Kensuke, a person who has survived the bombing of Nagasaki, and does not welcome him, but still, helps him. When one day Michael gets hurt, Kensuke saves him, and they become friends. The only thing they have to do is to keep hoping that he will be saved... but as days pass, his hope starts dissapearing... will he see him family ever again?

This is a book about survival. Once Michael and his dog fell off their family ship, they find themselves stranded on an island, trying to survive the best they can. They soon meet Kensuke, who has been there since since the bombing of Nagasaki. READ THE BOOK!

awesome survival book that I'm reading for school! I didn't think I would like it, but I'm really enjoying it so far!
