The hysterical #1 New York Times bestseller from Newbery honoree Carl Hiaasen featuring gators, snakes, bats that bite, and reality show hosts gone wild!

When Wahoo Cray’s dad—a professional animal wrangler—takes a job with a reality TV show called Expedition Survival!, Wahoo figures he'll have to do a bit of wrangling himself to keep his father from killing Derek Badger, the show's inept and egotistical star. But the job keeps getting more complicated: Derek Badger insists on using wild animals for his stunts; and Wahoo's acquired a shadow named Tuna—a girl who's sporting a shiner courtesy of her father and needs a place to hide out.

They've only been on location in the Everglades for a day before Derek gets bitten by a bat and goes missing in a storm. Search parties head out and promptly get lost themselves. And then Tuna's dad shows up with a gun . . .

It's anyone's guess who will actually survive Expedition Survival. . .

This book is full of suspense. It involves a crazy TV star, a girl named Tuna, her drunk father and a crocodile that has removed fingers. READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!

i especially loved Chomp because the author always writes nature fiction which is a good genre. i would totally recomend it to anyone, especially to those who love nature. I always love the messages the author tell in his stories, like how ature matters and you should try not to pollute or animals cute, ugly, big, small, or endangered should be cared for and to protect the environment. 5 stars!

This is a really good book about a kid who's dad is an animal wrangler. His dad is a little unpredictable though. When they get involved in a survival game opinions arise and things go wrong!

I really loved this book, and I never realized how fake the survivor shows on TV were. It was a really funny book and it showed it's message well, don't believe everything you see. This is one of my favorite Carl Hiaasen books, including Hoot and Flush. In every one of his books he portrays a meaningful message, especially in this one.

I love Carl Hiaasen. I recommend all of his books!

It is a funny mystery and everyone 10 and up should read it.

I really enjoyed this book, and with any chance I got, i would grab the book from my bookshelf, sit down on my bed, close the door, and read it for hours and hours. I just couldn't stop myself! It was that interesting. I would really recommend it.
