Are you made fainthearted by death? Does fire unnerve you? Is a villain something that might crop up in future nightmares of yours? Are you thrilled by nefarious plots? Is cold porridge upsetting to you? Vicious threats? Hooks? Uncomfortable clothing?
It is likely that your answers will reveal A Series of Unfortunate Events to be ill-suited for your personal use. A librarian, bookseller, or acquaintance should be able to suggest books more appropriate for your fragile temperament. But to the rarest of readers we say, "Proceed, but cautiously."

This was a really interesting book to read since it just has a lot of adventure in it. At first, I thought it was just one of those boring and long books. But when i began to read the first chapter, it just became really addicting. I recommend this book.
first book isn't as good as the others well I shouldn't say that it was good but I personally like the 8th better.
If you want a change for once, how about you pick up this book, "The Bad Beginning"? Expertly written and new adventures around the corner, you won't put this book down! Author Lemony Snicket composed an awesome book for all ages, and it's guaranteed, you'll be hooked!
It makes you want to read and read it until your done with the whole book. It was very surprising and that is why I liked it.
Three children Violet,Klaus, and Sunny have just received the terrible news that their parents died in a fire and that all of their possessions were destroyed also that they are going to be sent to live with an actor and a relative Count Olaf that they have never heard of. A very awesome book.
This is just the first book and there are 12 (or more, or less) other books that talk about these kids' misfortune. It is just sad, but you're going to love it anyway. It's also very adventurous like "Running Out of Time". However, the very end, like starting from book #7 may get kind of boring but still read it!! Don't give up (but it's very tempting. I had to!! But I want you to read the whole entire series) !!!!
I like this book a lot
It is sort of freaky because in the end count Olaf makes a play so he can legally marry Violet and get ahold of the Baudelaire fortune and then get rid of Violet, Sunny, and Claus. I recommend it.
I give it five stars.
It has a bunch of details in the book even though the book is very very sad it is also very adventurous. I really recommend it !
