Nothing can save Alex Sennefer's life. That's what all the doctors say, but his mother knows it's not true. She knows that the Lost Spells of the Egyptian Book of the Dead can crack open a door to the afterlife and pull her son back from the brink. But when she uses the spells, five evil ancients--the Death Walkers--are also brought back to life.

An ancient evil has been unleashed. Mummies are awakening. New York is overrun with scorpions. And worst of all for Alex, his mom and the Lost Spells have both disappeared. He and his best friend, Ren, will do anything to find his mom and save the world . . . even if that means going head-to-head with a Death Walker who has been plotting his revenge for 3,000 years.

Read the New York Times bestselling book, then continue the adventure online! Build an Egyptian tomb of your own, hide treasure and protect it with traps, then challenge your friends to play through!

This book is good for fans of mythology books or Egyptian books. The main character is on the verge of death when his mom, who has a necklace with special powers, uses ancient spells to save him. However, he isn't the only thing revived, and his mom goes missing after.

If you want a fresh read after the Kane Chronicles or the 39 Clues series, Tombquest is the perfect solution to your globetrotting, Egyptian-mythology needs. When his mother saves his life by unleashing five ancient evils on the world, Alex and his new friend Ren must save the world.

Tombquest was alright. It's about this boy named Alex who's mother uses the Lost Spells of the Egyptian Book of the Dead to bring him back to life. Not only does Alex come back, though, but also the five Death Walkers, and his mother disappears. With the help of his friend, Ren, he goes on a mission to rescue his mom and set everything right. It was interesting and adventurous, but not so great.

This book is incredible! It's about this boy named Alex that has a life threatening medical condition and his Mom. In order to save Alex, his mom uses a mystical book to save him, but that healing power also had many dangers. Read the book to find out what they were!!

When I read this book it made me think of Rick Riordan's books, but is a bit unique in its own way. This book was pretty good!

The main character of this book is Alex. He has a life-threatening medical condition, and so every day the middle-school-er goes to work with his mom at the museum. One day he comes very close to dying, until his mom saves him with a magic book, one of the artifacts. But then evil spirits are released and disaster occurs. To top it off his mom disappears. Will he and his best friend Ren be able to find her and reset the evil doings. I only recommend this book for older kids as it has much violence, and horror involved.
