this book is really great i recommend this book to all the teachers on Dogonews because it is the story of the donner reed party witch takes us way back. My class is reading this book right now and we are at the last chapter. This story is really good and one of the reasons is that it is about there journey to stutters fort and just today we got back from stutters fort for are class trip. This book is amazing and make sure you ask your teacher to make you read this book and you will Love it!!. -- Ladycat246

great book. stupid cuz it takes out the canabblism part of the story for the kids. otherwise its supper sad in some parts but A VERY GOODD BOOK! I recommend it for over the age of 8

this book was amazing because, my class is studying sutter's fort and it is amazing that patty's doll is still together in one piece. It was also amazing because i just visited sutter's fort.
