The book, Courageous canine is a story of a dog named Lillie. I like the book because it tells of a great book. She is living on a pound. A police officer named David came to be an assistant at the dog pound. When he saw Lillie the dog, he asked if he could take her home. One day, Lillie is at David’s mom’s house. David’s mom doesn’t feel so good so she decides to go for a walk. They are walking across a train track when David’s mom has a blackout. Lillie starts tugging at her and nudging her. Suddenly, the ground starts to shake, A TRAIN WAS COMING! Lillie starts pulling David’s mom off the tracks. Finally, Lillie gets David’s mother off the tracks. The train rumbles past them. As soon as the train stops, the conductor of the train runs back to Lillie and David’s mom. David’s mom is okay but Lillie’s leg is badly hurt. The conductor calls 911 immediately. David soon finds out what happened to Lillie and brings her to the hospital. Lillie’s leg is so badly hurt that they need to cut it off. Kids start sending get-well cards to her at the hospital. Soon she is good enuff to go home. She starts doing physical therapy. What a great hero!

I like this book because it tells of a dog that saved a women's life.
