A brand new series from Jen Calonita, author of the award-winning Fairy Tale Reform School series!

"Funny, charming, and rebellious." ―James Riley, New York Times bestselling author of The Story Thieves series and the Revenge of Magic series

In Enchantasia, becoming a legendary prince or princess doesn't happen overnight. Enter Royal Academy, the training ground for the fairy tale leaders of tomorrow!

But Devin has major reservations about her new school and her royal future. How can she be a princess and the best creature caretaker Enchantasia has ever seen? It doesn't help that there's something seriously weird about RA's headmistress. Olivina seems obsessed with preparing students for possible attacks from villains ("A royal can't rule when they're stuck in a tower!") Devin gets that being Snow White and Rapunzel's fairy godmother has probably made Olivina pretty paranoid, but anytime someone steps a toe out of line, Olivina becomes more of a fairy nightmare than a fairy godmother.

Something isn't right with this lady, and Devin is determind to find out what. But what Devin discovers could change the fairy tale world forever...

This is an amazing book! But if you read this book, make sure you have the second book as well since the first book ends in a cliffhanger. Misfits is about a royal girl named Devin Nile. Devin isn't like any other princess, she is kind, caring, and loyal. She loves taking care of animals, and hopes to pursue her dream of becoming an Animal Caretaker. But just when she is happiest, someone has to ruin it all. Fairy Godmother. Olivina is her name, and she is the headmistress of Royal Academy (RA). She believes all royals have to be leaders and rule over land. But to Devin, she is none other then a puppet master controlling her students. Once Devin settles in with her room mates, Sasha and Raina. She starts school. But it's difficult and she keeps messing up. Until Snow White holds an Animal Class...and Olivina has to ruin it all again with a DRAGON ON THE LOOSE. Soon, Devin and her friends get one to many strikes...

I think the main character is unlikable. She seems like she hates being royalty, even though she is super privileged. She just kind of seems ungrateful.

well, she doesn't want to be a high status person. She cares about animals and wants to live and help the commoners. I think thats good.

I really liked this book because it was about royalty who didn't want to be all prissy and stuck up. I'm into the rebel princess theme because so many people put princesses into a pink loving, always tea partying, stuck up stereotype. But in reality there are so many real princesses out there who use their position to help others.

This book was amazing. It is creepy in some parts, but not to creepy. It ends on a cliffhanger which leaves you waiting for months. But it still is good.

This is a really good book, especially if you like Jen Calonita's other series, Fairy Tale Reform school or if you like fantasy/fairy tail books. SPOILER ALERT This book ends with a cliff hanger, so if you are someone who HATES when there is a cliffhanger and the next book isnt out, you MIGHT want to wait a few months to read it. This book is similar to the fairy tale reform school series, but if you haven't read those, it will still make sense and the plot/characters are BARELY connected. There is only one part that says something, but it explains later. The main character is a royal named Devinaria (Devin) Nile and can talk to animals. She is NOT your regular pretty pink princess. She likes to get her hands dirty and wear pants. Her dream for the future is to talk to and help animals in need, but that dream is almost crushed when her invitation for RA (Royal Academy) comes. When a villain "breaks in" Devin and her friends realize that Olivina, the famous fairy Godmother, is NOT what she seems. After a few weeks at RA, Davin is very close to being expelled, and does not wait for a prince to come to the rescue, like Olivina thinks she should, during her "tests".
