Now a musical!

Matilda is a sweet, exceptional young girl, but her parents think she's just a nuisance. She expects school to be different but there she has to face Miss Trunchbull, a menacing, kid-hating headmistress. When Matilda is attacked by the Trunchbull she suddenly discovers she has a remarkable power with which to fight back. It'll take a superhuman genius to give Miss Trunchbull what she deserves and Matilda may be just the one to do it!

Here is Roald Dahl's original novel of a little girl with extraordinary powers. This much-loved story has recently been made into a wonderful new musical, adapted by Dennis Kelly with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin.

I loved this book because it had a bunch of funny things like that time that the girl had pig tails and the headmisstres threw her it was classic

I really like this book! I wish I could be like Matilda. I have never felt so grateful for my school! :)

This book is amazing! Matilda, who lives in a mean family, got powers to scare her eerie headmistress. I recommend it to beginner readers.

Matilda is amazing! I have a lot of memories with Matilda, because I was in the play! I think Matilda is very inspiring because it shows you don't need to be big to be brave. Matilda shows this by standing up to her awful parents and the evil headmistress. Her teacher, Miss Honey, is a wonderful person and the only person who truly understand Matilda's incredible smarts. This story is amazing, I highly recommend it for younger readers.

This book is a great classic and I recommend Matilda for beginner readers.

This book is about a smart 5 year old girl named Matilda. She is very intelligent. Her dad cheats on his job and the only person who understands her smartness is her teacher, Miss Honey…
