Sandy and Dennys have always been the normal, run-of-the-mill ones in the extraodinary Murry family. They garden, make an occasional A in school, and play baseball. Nothing especially interesting has happened to the twins until they accidentally interrupt their father's experiment.

Then the two boys are thrown across time and space. They find themselves alone in the desert, where, if they believe in unicorns, they can find unicorns, and whether they believe or not, mammoths and manticores will find them.

The twins are rescued by Japheth, a man from the nearby oasis, but before he can bring them to safety, Dennys gets lost. Each boy is quickly embroiled in the conflicts of this time and place, whose populations includes winged seraphim, a few stray mythic beasts, perilous and beautiful nephilim, and small, long lived humans who consider Sandy and Dennys giants. The boys find they have more to do in the oasis than simply getting themselves home--they have to reunite an estranged father and son, but it won't be easy, especially when the son is named Noah and he's about to start building a boat in the desert.

This book is perfect for older readers that enjoy the Wrinkle of Time series. It has Action, adventure, suspense, and some romance. I highly recommend this book.

The twin brother, Sandy and Dennys, are the most "normal" members of the Murry family. Their big sister, has power to time travel, meanwhile, their young brother is a super genius. But of course, their parents are both crazy scientist. They usually don't pay much attention to their parent's theory, and try to not believe those ridiculous things. But, one day, an accident of touching "progress" computer, change their belief. Somehow, it took them to a oasis, the time when Earth is still very young. What's worse, not knowing how to come back to home, might die and suffer from the up coming "disaster"! This book teaches me that, never touch anything important or in progress, that belongs to your parents. Even is you are just curious, like Sandy and Dennys, might leads you to a serious problem.

Dennys and Sandy are supposed to be the "normal ones" in the Murry family. But that all changes when they accidently mess with one of their father's experiments. The twins are thrown across space and time, and find themselves in a desert. It turns out they're in the same desert as Noah from the bible story "Noah's Ark" in the same time! The twins have to find a way to get home before the whole world floods. What I thought of it: I was excited that the twins actually got their own book because they aren't really main characters in the other books. I was glad that this book gave us more insight into their personalities. But some parts of the book were like "Seriously? You're really going to put that in a kids book?". I was surprised at that because none of the other books had anything like that in them. I wasn't as good as the first or second book, but it wasn't bad. Over all it was pretty good.
