This book is about Chet Roscow, a boy who lives in Springfield, New Jersey. He sees on the news that there recently has been shark attacks near his hometown on the Atlantic coast. One day Chet was swimming with his friends then he sees something. He takes a moment to think then... SHARK. I connected to this book because it reminded me when I went to the Atlantic coast. I would give this book 3 stars because it wasn't as exciting as I expected it to be.About 4 years agojayden6924is now following joshua54321.

Stanley Yelnats has been convicted of a crime he didn't even commit. Because of this, he's been sent to Camp Green Lake, a camp that is supposed to build character and bring boys back to society. When Stanley gets there, he makes some friends and finds out that the Warden is making the boys dig holes not to build character, but to find a legendary secret treasure, that his great-great-grandfather supposedly had something to do with. Will he ever find the treasure? Will he ever get his crime justified and escape Camp Green Lake? Read Holes by Louis Sachar to find out. I connected to this book because Stanley takes the blame for things he didn't do, and I have done that before. I give this book 4 stars because the story plot was good, but the cutting back and forth to the past and present was confusing, and the resolution was predictable in some parts.About 4 years agoabi_k_12 added a book review.

Great book! It's about a little girl who gets chimpanzee for her birthday. She then realizes her passion for animals and tries to find a chimpanzee and tame one. She finds one and becomes great friends with it. She is even still alive over 80 years old today! I made a connection because people today are still trying to save endangered species. I give this book 4 stars because it shows that preserving animal life is important.About 4 years agoheyitsmeniko has read this book.

Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is on the most dangerous quest of his life. With the help of a satyr and a daughter of Athena, Percy must journey across the United States to catch a thief who has stolen the original weapon of mass destruction — Zeus’ master bolt. Along the way, he must face a host of mythological enemies determined to stop him. Most of all, he must come to terms with a father he has never known, and an Oracle that has warned him of betrayal by a friend. I would recommend this book to any one who likes action and a bit of humor.About 4 years ago
