"Gretzky An Autobiography" is an autobiography written by authors Wayne Gretzky and Rick Reilly with photos are by Vincent Virga. This book has 238 that go through the most important parts of his life like when he got to the very top of the National Hockey League (NHL) being the best. And, the dark times in his life like when parents of his teammates yelled at him for being a puck hog. Or, how he felt when he won the Stanley Cup for the very first time and heard the fans scream his name “Gretzky, Gretzky, Gretzky.” When Wayne played in his youth he made many mistakes like, not letting coaches know what happened off the ice. However, letting this happen helped him fuel his tank with determination so he could drive himself even harder. Although, doing this made his family move everywhere so he can always one up himself. Doing this provided him with a challenge to work on his social skills because he was a very shy kid. It also, helped with training and work ethic to allow him to become a better hockey player and a much better person. I would definitely recommend this book to a fan player or relative of a hockey player because you get to know the game and its history a lot better. If i could ever ask Wayne Gretzky one question face to face it would be, “If you could go back in time and fix one thing what would it be and why?”
