Doll Bones is obviously scary. I would agree. The first time I read it it did scare me a little and I got one to two nightmares but the second time I read it I had no nightmares. It shows the true meaning of friendship, and the real life approach to having an adventure. In books and movies they don’t show things that would actually be helpful in a real quest. It is also very informative. This book is amazing and I think that if you can you should totally read it. And It’s not just going on a quest. It’s a lot like real life. You can connect to it in so many ways. If I could I would give it a million stars. Unfortunately, it's unavailable.

Zach, Poppy, and Alice have been friends forever. And for almost as long, they’ve been playing one continuous, ever-changing game of pirates and thieves, mermaids and warriors. Ruling over all is the Great Queen, a bone-china doll cursing those who displease her.
But they are in middle school now. Zach’s father pushes him to give up make-believe, and Zach quits the game. Their friendship might be over, until Poppy declares she’s been having dreams about the Queen—and the ghost of a girl who will not rest until the bone-china doll is buried in her empty grave.
Zach and Alice and Poppy set off on one last adventure to lay the Queen’s ghost to rest. But nothing goes according to plan, and as their adventure turns into an epic journey, creepy things begin to happen. Is the doll just a doll or something more sinister? And if there really is a ghost, will it let them go now that it has them in its clutches?

At first, I thought Doll Bones was going to be really, really scary and nothing else. I didn't read it all in one sitting (I read it in two days), so at night, my imagination ran wild, and I spent it thinking of the creepiest possible plots that I thought might happen. When left unresolved, the book kinda (really) freaked me out. What's going to happen? Is there really a ghost? Are the characters going to die? Am I going to die? However, the closer to the end I got, the more... enlightened, I guess. The more I knew about the story, the more I could personally connect with it. As I got to learn about the characters (the maybe-does-exist ghost included), I found that I no longer felt scared, but I felt more at home. The book felt less like something to be afraid of, and more like a tale of sadness turned to hope. The book gave me a huge variety of emotions that just filled me. I definitely recommend this book.
This book gave me the creeps!!!!! I love this book so much.
This book is perfect. But don’t hate this book if you just read the beginning. I agree the beginning might be a little boring, but as you finish it you realize how it was there to build up to the plot.
This story is about three friends and their spooky doll. Hauntingly creepy, the doll is hiding a secret past that the friends discover at the end of their journey to get the doll to its rightful place.
this book is amazing. Full of adventure and ghosts. I can't put this book down
This book was really good. It is about kids who ran away from their homes and traveled to an unknown place just to bury a dool who has been haunting them forever. The doll is actually full of the ashes of a little girl who killed herself and her father. Creepy but awsome.
Doll Bones is a great book! 3 friends Zach, Poppy, and Alice go on an adventure to find a doll's grave. Poppy has dreams about Eleanor, the dead human that possesses the doll. Eleanor tells them that they have to bury her doll in the Kerchner grave, or else they'll be sorry. Read to find out what happens! This book was one of my favorites and you should definitely read it if you are interested in scary books!

Somehow, Poppy is dreaming about the doll and doll wants to be buried in its empty grave. So Zach, Poppy, and Alice set out on a mission, and creepy things start to happen. will they make it? You should read the book to find out! I really recommend this book to people who like scary things.
