so I'm getting braces but I'm kinka freaked out. I have a horrible gag reflex and I'm worried when they do the impressions I might throw up. ahhhhh and how long will it take? I am scared but my friend said they look cute, i dont agree. i need help guys should i get ceramic or metal braces ahhhhh huge decision . pls tell me and tell me foods u cant eat. dont like caramel popcorn

You cant eat: carrots apples popcorn gum taffeta chips broccoli seeds stuff like that I know about it well... I'll be getting braces too I have a cross bite and a terrible overbite and a spacer.in my mouth (which ISNT helping my teeth there still crooked ) but yeah dont be scared your brave ok? Sorry if I sound like a mom I just am really kind anyways good.luck

Being a person who doesn't have braces, I'm not sure. But I do think that If you worry about it too much you have more of a chance of throwing up while it's being done. I know you're not supposed to eat things like caramel, popcorn and cookies (unless they're dipped in milk or something). Good Luck!

Hi! I also have braces! So I can say that if you want to eat starburst or anything like that, you can always just suck on it for a while until it gets softer. And make sure that if you eat gum that it's sugar free. Because the sugar makes the gum more sticky. Good luck!
I also sometimes get gag reflexes too! Though sorry, I don't know much about braces, 'cause I don't have them myself.......yet......

Don`t freak out, @foreverreagancorn! I been dreaded about getting braces but I already got braces so only about 1 year left for me! but they will take just about 2 hours putting on your braces on! And foods you can`t eat: gums, popcorn, starburst, and anything that is hard or chuncy! I don`t know, about ceramic or metal braces!
apparently,in my track team, ceramic are more popular. but i might just do metal
